A collection of my student’s work throughout the winter semester of 2015. All of the assignments on this page were chosen at random. I just want to show everyone what we did this semester in the classroom.
Topic Sentences
The students were to construct a topic sentence by examining these paragraphs; they did well.
Transitional Words and Phrases
With this, the students had to re-write the paragraph on the back of the page, changing somethings and adding in transitional words and phrases. For my EAL students, they simply had to circle the transitional words and phrases (I put more in the handout for the EAL students).
Canadian Structures of Government
My EAL students got to work with their neighbours to fill in all the blanks.
From Bill to Law
My students really loved this assignment and I will definitely be doing this again in the future!
Connect the Pictures
This was a really fun lesson. My students loved sharing their stories with the rest of the class; they were so goofy!
